Telegraph – HB football scores late to edge Sanborn
Joey Delaney hooked up with Matt Simco for the tie-breaking touchdown with 25 seconds left and the Hollis Brookline football team edged Sanborn, 28-22, on the road Saturday.
Delaney and Simco connected for three touchdowns on the day and the Cavs (1-1) also added a short rushing score.
The Hollis Brookline defense came up big with a fumble recovery inside their own 5-yard line, along with an interception in the end zone. Simco picked off Sanborn’s final pass to secure HB’s first victory of the season.
Chris Hanna led Sanborn (0-2) with 148 rushing yards and a TD.
Hollis Brookline will travel to Trinity (1-1) on Saturday for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
